I look forward to seeing what the next group of girls create.
The theme of this challenge is BIRTHDAYS.
We would like you to create a layout and interpret the theme "BIRTHDAYS" however
you like based on the following sketch. You can journal as little or as
much as you like, but your layout must incorporate this theme and the
sketch below. Please make sure that we see some sort of journalling on
your layouts and please tell us where your journalling is . Hidden
journalling is perfectly fine.
Ideas for Journalling:most memorable birthday celebration for you or anyone in your family, the last birthday you celebrated
and tell us your thoughts on turning this age, your child's/other
family member's birthday and your thoughts on their age, a birthday that
was a turning point in your life and your excitement/fears or other
thoughts you had, an upcoming birthday for you or anyone and your
thoughts, the best birthday present you ever received/gave and why?. You
can also base your layout on a non - person birthday. This means your
birthday theme can be based on : a pet, a business venture, a milestone
anniversary etc etc. Its up to you how you interpret "BIRTHDAYS"
As I recently turned 39 I decided to create a page about moi and the past 10 years since I was nearly 30.
The journaling reads: "With only one year until I turn 40, I reflect on the past 10 years. I have become a mother of 4. I have become more content in my life and I continue to grow and challenge myself every year. 40 will be ok."
I created my page after watching a tutorial from Finnabair
If you have the chance, watch the tutorial and give it a go. I really enjoyed seeing how she creates (and as I wasn't able to go to Darwin to take part in her class last month this was the next best thing).
And just a couple of pics from our weekend away last weekend.
(this was a bit blurred sorry as I was quite far away)
And how close the kids were to the roos (the roos were jumping away from them so it was "safe" enough).
Me and the kiddies at the top of the Grampians in Halls Gap.
We also went to visit our Farm Family whom we met last year. They own land all around their area and this was one of the many acres we walked around and the view from the top of the hill is of the Grampians where we had climbed the previous day.
And before I leave, did you see Page 104 in this months Scrapbooking Memories magazine?
If not, it looked a little like this:
This is my Mum's gorgeous work. I am so so excited for her to have her first page published in a magazine.
Congrats Mum. I think your work is amazing and I hope we can see more pages in there.
Ok lovely ladies.
