When a page starts off as a mistake but then you somehow save it and end up very happy with it in the end.....
Well that's what happened with this page I am about to share with you.
I began with a piece of cardboard (from some linen packaging I have bought recently).
I used one of the gorgeous D-lish Scraps stencils over the whole piece with white texture paint.
My aim was then to spray "lightly" with some Dylusions ink.
Well
a little goes a looooong way right? So then I had this really bright
pink page and it wasn't in the right spots either....
Before I threw it out to start again I thought I would try to salvage it.
So I pulled out some gesso and a baby wipe and started to pat and mop the gesso around.
Then I pulled out some stamps and paint and somehow, it became a really cool, grungy background.
Then I knew exactly which photo which would match the background.
Added as many D-lish Scraps goodies to it as I could fit.
And the rest is history :)
I have used the following D-lish Scraps embellishments.
Creative Cuts - Flowers, Punchinella, Metal Flowers, Resin Flowers, Fabric Blooms, Polka Dot Bow, Journal It - Days of the Week, Stencil, Corbett Creations Title and last but not least, a Wooden Peg.
So remember, what starts off as a mistake, can always be turned around and made in to something you can use after all.
